In Houkai Gakuen 2, playable characters have unrestricted access to a wide variety of weapons and can carry up to 3 weapons of any type as long as they are available in the Backpack.

About weapons

Each weapon has a type, a sub-type (if applicable), various stats and skills available. Each characters can gives many valuable stats to certain type of weapons.

Weapon types

There are several types of weapon to be found in the game, and each weapon type can have several variations within their own category (for example: Semi-automatic pistol or Handcannon)

Weapon attributes

Weapons have many attributes:

  • Attack: ATK is a stat available on most of weapons, represents the Base Damage of a weapon.
  • Attack Speed: Determines how fast the weapon fires. When applied to Deploy-Turret weapons, this stat affects the throwing rate of turrets, not the Attack Speed of the turret itself.
  • Ammunition: represents usage capacity a weapon has.

Weapon specific attributes

Certain weapons have its own unique attributes:

  • Secondary weapon type: a unique stat available for certain type of weapons, some equipment may not work with weapons that have incorrect secondary weapon type.
  • Reload Speed: a unique stat available for Rocket launchers. After firing the weapon, it will cause character to Stagger (unable to move) and forcing them to reload the weapon. Stagger effect can be reduced or removed completely through Bronya's EX skills.
  • Deploy Limit: a unique stat available for Deploy-type weapons, only allows a number of the same weapon appear on the field at the same time. Attempting deploy higher than limit will discard the last deployed weapon from the field.
  • Deploy Duration: a unique stat available for Deploy-type weapons. When times up, the weapon will disappear from the field.
  • Deploy Attack Speed: a unique stat available for certain Deploy-type weapons, usually 3.3/s (this stat does not show for Turrets and Humanoids).
  • Hit Range: Determine the maximum range a bullet or similar can reach.
  • Hitbox Radius: Determine the hitbox size of a bullet or similar. Weapons such as Houkai Lightning Handcannon have much larger hitbox than its visual display.
  • Damage Radius: a unique stat available for Area of Effect (AoE) weapons, usually has its stat hidden. For explosive weapons, the farther from the explosion point, the less damage deal to enemies and eventually drop to 0 Damage when out of range.
  • Scattering Angle: Applies for certain type of weapons, is how far the bullets can spread from the center of the aiming point.
  • Recoil: Applies for Kiana's Out of Control Firing. The longer holding the pistol, the higher Scattering Angle will apply to it.
  • Bounce: a unique stat for Throw weapons. Bottle-like weapons does not bounce and will instantly explode on landing, Grenade-like weapons will bounce a few times before explodes. Jack-in-the-box Ultra skill can change the Bounce method on any weapons.
