Will of Houkai

Will of Houkai is a "God" being of the Houkai, possibly being a collective consciousness with no exact appearance. Its ultimate goal is to destroy civilizations by using intelligence and multiple manifestations.

Analysis about the Ruler of Will

What can be known is that there is not only one Will, but a group of Will in Honkai Gakuen 2 universe.
First mentioned in Kiana's plot "Daughter of Fusion", later confirmed in "Future is Like the Wind".
They should be referred as 意志统括者 (Ruler of Will) (as they print their own name on Brilliant Covenant's monitor) rather than 崩坏意志 (Will of Houkai).
Different Honkai Will individuals seem to have different attitudes towards humans, and in order to express this difference, each of their words has a unique colors (this includes Will contained inside Herrscher cores).
They don't like being referred as "god".
They have no interest in killing Otto during R14 story, as well as saying Otto have misconception of tens of thousands of years, and his optimistic estimation of his own destiny. They also says that Otto never really understand about the Houkai.

Cretaceous period

Whether the extinction of dinosaurs in the Cretaceous period was also a manifestation of Houkai, there is no explanation in history books.

14th century

The Black Death in the 14th century was a manifestation of Houkai, affecting the human beings who ruled the world at that time. The Black Death directly or indirectly caused the destruction of one third of the world's population.

Houkai beasts

Animals that undergo abnormal changes under the influence of Houkai energy are also controlled by the Will of Houkai. At first, because of the small scale of the Houkai itself, the generated Houkai mutation only made the creature stronger, or gave birth to other limbs and structures, and the individual that the Houkai itself hosted would undergo structural abnormality. Its biological and genetic sequencing has an irreversible impact.

Animals with Houkai power

Unlike Houkai beasts that were turned into completely different species, some animals still retain their original appearance and species but gain special abilities like improved intelligence, having "magics", etc...

Under the influence of the Will of Houkai, they caused many issues to human.

Will of Abyss

The Will of Abyss (WoA) was a giant statue made from the "dead body" of Incarnation who worshipped the Houkai and was a prime body to host a Will of Houkai.

The dead bodies around the region will turn into white statues (named Eroded Body) that attack anything that breathes.

The region where the existence of the Will of Abyss descends puts everyone all in a different space, or force field... Or enchantment. With current knowledge, no amount of analysis could explain it well by Otto. To defeat such giant statue and towers under its control, special gun emplacements are around and requires special ammunition: Human's purest things that looked like an orb.

To make these ammunitions, it requires human's sacrifice, and human who sacrificed themselves will have their body shattered and turned to dust.

In addition of creating white statues, the Will of Abyss can "hypnosis" people and touches their darkest inner "guilty". While being "hypnotized", Will of Abyss also let the person sees the darkest scenes and make them sink into the sea of guilt.

The Will of Abyss will address the person using a formal style such as "Your Excellency". Its voice obviously sounds so light, but it was as deep as the abyss.
Effect on Kallen: Causing herself to sink into the sea of guilt (causing coma effect). With the help of her signature weapon (Judah' Choice), it increases the chance of helping her to escape from the hypnosis.
Effect on Rvy: Causing her to suddenly freeze her breath, later went completely mad (as of failed to overcome the torture) and start killing everything around. She killed Iron Maiden who got hypnotized. After being freed from being hypnotized, the emotions that have been suppressed in the depths of her heart have become an insurmountable barrier for her at the moment, making her more painful although she had become awake. She can't stand against her feeling of guilty and activated the God Box that made red mist erupted from her body, destroy both the body completely, also destroy Houkai beasts and white statues that also touches her.
Effect on Iron Maiden: Making her feels nothingless in power. While being hypnotized, suddenly, there was a sharp pain in her body, which was the feeling after being hit by a powerful force, and Iron Maiden knew that her real body might have suffered a life-threatening attack (Attacked by Rvy).
Effect on Zofia: Same as Kallen but can recover from coma quickly without using any assists.
Effect on Otto: He "reincarnated" for 500 times and failed to save Kallen on every try, started to develop the ability to completely immune to Will of Abyss's white mist as well as torture. When the WoA talks to Otto, words go in one ear and out the other. He is very aware of Rvy is killing everything on sight.
Effect on Hokushin Mei: Nothing bad happened as she was in Anira's dream.

Fu Hua was much harder for WoA to hypnosis and convince:

First, it played around Fu Hua by saying some words like "return to the East and enjoy peaceful time" or "Fu Hua was an artificial object born in laboratories will always be shackled by the highest command". However, Fu Hua's face became extremely calm against these words.

Second, it talks to Fu Hua like normal, it is clear that as a part of WoA stands in Fu Hua's perspective and says "eliminate the calamity", which is quite joyful. However, for Fu Hua, this is the sharp needle that can pierce her heart the most, completely penetrating the deepest doubts in her heart, and putting in front of her those things that she has never and dared not think about in detail. Doubts floated in Fu Hua's heart, and once they were born, they were difficult to go away.

In another spacetime universe, she used the technology left in a database from the previous era to rapidly advance the world's civilization, and soon climbed to a level comparable to the civilization that gave birth to herself.

Seeing this, Fu Hua's heart fell into a deeper confusion because she clearly perceives that those parallel spacetimes are also real and unreal existences. The WoA also starts to convince Fu Hua to join them to destroy the Houkai.

But as Mei shouted at, all the plans to convince Fu Hua was failed, Fu Hua started to fuse Jingwei to herself and destroy the WoA.

Modern times

The zombies

A new type of Houkai species that appeared in modern times. It was transformed by human beings infected by Houkai energy. The low-level zombies only have the most primitive desire to eat, and the more advanced zombies will be given special abilities, but the only thing is certain, they no longer belong to the human category, and they don't even have the characteristics of life.

Amalgam of Wills

A Houkai creation that suddenly appear above the Taixu mountain, consume lots of Houkai energy when they're born. Its composition is difficult to explain with existing physical structure, and it have strong defense capability. This individual moves slowly, emit high-energy Houkai rays that have extremely strong destructive power. There's also Will Parasites appears and parasitize any targets nearby, any creatures or objects touched by the Will Parasites will belongs to them.

Will Parasites

Soldiers or soldier corpses parasitized by the Will Parasite will force the actions regardless of the host's will, and attack surrounding enemies. There's nothing to prevent the individual from acting except destroying.

According to R15 story, they are slightly smaller than adults, have square heads, and have tentacles. They fly in space in a manner similar to swimming in water.
