The past
When she was a child, Sakura had a beloved sister named Yae Rin, who was frail and could not afford to be ill for a long time since childhood. In the seventh year of the Yae village, when the village was not rainy for a long time, the villagers thought that the sacrifice in the last sacrifice was not a virgin, so they requested that the blood of the witch be used as the sacrifice for another sacrifice. Yae Rin was selected, and it was Yae Sakura who was selected to preside over the festival.[1]
Yae Sakura naturally didn't want her sister to be a sacrifice, and secretly planned to escape with Rin. In the plan, Sakura and Rin will seek a cure for their illness, and will go to see Sakura together to spend a happy day. However, at the moment when the sacrifice began, Yae Sakura dropped the blade in her hand and pulled up Rin to escape, only to find that Rin was already unable to run, and Rin was picked out of her hamstrings and could no longer stand up. At this time, the Yae patriarch took the sword in Sakura's hand and completed the sacrifice. At that time, it began to rain heavily. When the villagers were grateful for it, Sakura already felt her own powerlessness, and she felt despair and disgust for the world. Because of this, an inner gap is created, allowing the Houkai to take advantage of the girl.
4 years after Rin's death, Yae Sakura has grown up, honed her swordsmanship, and became a maiden in the village, who is truly in charge of sacrifices. Although still gentle and kind, the shadow of Rin's death still remained in her heart. At this moment, Sakura met Kallen next to the river in the village. Seeing Kallen who was seriously injured, Sakura took Kallen back home, healed Kallen's injury and returned the box with the Houkai ability, eliminating Kallen's wariness.
It didn't take long for Sakura to be asked by the villagers to fight against the Houkai Beast, but was defeated. When Kallen heard that Sakura was fighting the Houkai Beast, she rushed to rescue Sakura and released the gun to fight back the Houkai Beast. Kallen swore to Sakura to protect her and the villagers.
Such days lasted for a while. One day, Kallen heard that the sacrifice would begin again, and that another innocent girl would be killed, so she rushed to stop it, and found that Sakura was the executioner, and the two immediately started fighting. Soon afterwards, the Fox Demon, who was infected by the Houkai, appeared and ate the sacrifice and the sacrifice's mother. Kallen saw the gods in the villagers' mouths as well as her manipulators. With her strong will, Kallen broke through the shackles of the manipulators and attacked her. But seeing the manipulator lifted the mask and black clothes, what appeared in front of Kallen was Sakura manipulated by the will of the demon in the box. The demon in the box left a declaration of destroying the thing that Kallen was guarding, and rode the fox demon and turned away.
Kallen received the weapon "Eid von Judas" given by Otto Apokalypse, and returned to the village to fight against Yae Sakura. Kallen bound the fox monster with the Oath of Judah, and fought close to the manipulated Sakura, seizing the upper hand and temporarily repelling her. However, the demon in the box used Kallen's feelings for Sakura to deceive, and stabbed Kallen, and continued to use words to try to penetrate the gap in Kallen's heart. After the failure, when the demon in the box was about to give Kallen the final blow, Sakura used her will to stab the sword towards herself, forced the will to Houkai to escape from the body, fell into Kallen's arms and apologize to her. But the Houkai will once again possessed the fox, and swallowed Sakura in anger, and launched an attack on Kallen. With the last hope in her heart, Kallen was seriously wounded and raised the obsidian spear of the Oath of Judah to fight to the death with the Houkai will.
Kallen and the fox demon were both injured. After that, Kallen was recovered by the Schicksal and executed, while Sakura fell asleep with the fox demon until the third Houkai broke out again.
Retrospect
Due to the third Houkai broke out at Changkong City, Yae Sakura and Fox Demon awakened from their sleep, and fought with Kiana Kaslana and Raiden Mei. During the period, after Yae Sakura herself was defeated, the Fox Demon swallowed Sakura and strengthened, but was defeated by Kiana and Mei. In the end, the Fox Demon, who collapsed and could disperse, confessed to Yae Sakura, and the two disappeared together.
Theresa Apokalypse, who fought in Changkong City, fell in the battle against the Houkai. As if attracted by the blood of the Valkyrie in Theresa, Yae Sakura appeared beside her. Yae Sakura recognized Theresa as Kallen, but Theresa wasn't her after all. After she let Yae Sakura recognize reality in the stigmata space, Yae Sakura finally let go of her obsession with the past.
Wonderland
After Yae Sakura was completely dissipated, they appeared as a Servant in Wonderland. Although she didn't know how to view this resurrection at the beginning, after exploring the new world with other servants, she discovered Hellmaru, and her personality gradually became more cheerful, and she began to develop her new life in the servant's world.
Ancient Tree War
When everyone was fighting because of the Ancient Tree, Yae Sakura went out to find herbs because of Gerentania's commission, but she followed the guidance of the mural in the Ancient Tree to explore the fantasy structure to the Original Island, and met Liz. The two came to the bottom of the Ancient Tree through the geyser, where Yae Sakura unexpectedly met her sister Yae Rin. Before the two could meet, Sakura and Liz were driven out of the Ancient Tree by the spirit inside it. After the Ancient Tree War was divided, the two parachuted to the Ancient Tree via a floating boat, and together with the servants, they stopped Connor Hord.
Desire Perfume incident
After the Ancient Tree War, the Yae Sakura has been guarding the forbidden area under the Ancient Tree. After Freya began to build the initial island, Yae Sakura repeatedly found traces of intrusion in the forbidden area. After an explosion caused by Kos, Yae Sakura asked Coase and Aladia about the strange doll that appeared in the Servant Continent recently, Aladia hurriedly took Yae Rin to ask Fran. After the exposure of Fran's invasion of the forbidden area, she was taught a lesson by Freya. Soon after, Yae Sakura and Yae Rin reunited, but due to the use of Fran's Flowers of Evil, Yae Sakura changed her mind and began to treat her sister Rin. Tia & Luya discovered Sakura's change when they came to invite Rin to serve as the warden, but since Sakura didn't cause any obvious loss, they just let her in her own home.
Soon after, Sakura successfully eliminated the mutation and met Freya who had come to celebrate her birthday. To satisfy Sakura's desire to meet her younger sister, Freya took her to Fran's factory to borrow an airship. However, the two didn't find Fran, only the weapons of the ancient twins. Sakura, who found that something was wrong, immediately asked Promet to take her to Storm Island. On Storm Island, the two ran into Gerentania who was trying to escape from prison, and Yae Rin who was pursuing them. Sakura, who was in an unknown situation, lost her fighting spirit because of a "perverted" sentence. The anxious Gerentania took Rin's and went to rescue Tia & Luya. Tia & Luya, who got the weapons, eliminated the abnormal changes in the island, and Rin and Sakura were able to meet again.
Legacy
After being eroded by the Houkai energy in the "Box of God", Sakura attacking Kallen and slaughtering the villagers, she was used as bait by the War Knight Zofia who came to hunt Kallen. Zofia showed amazing strength as a War Knight Commander, and gradually gained the upper hand in against Yae Sakura. When Zofia was about to give the final blow, Kallen and others arrived in time. Fu Hua grabbed Zofia, and the two were fight each other, while Kallen took the opportunity to try to awaken Yae Sakura's consciousness.
In 2014, Yae Sakura was lifted the seal after the Third Great Houkai, but was defeated by Kallen clone, an Artificial Herrscher who came to Changkong City.
World boss
Stage 1
CrimsonHell will circle through his attack pattern. Start with Sneeze, he will sneeze a slow, high damaging energy ball which will home in player. Then he will use Energy Eruption, under player feet will glow up a bit before exploding. And he will summon EvilSpirit Stone at random, the stone take only 1 point of damage from every source and can't receive debuff. After some times, it will exploded, causing extremely high damage, potentially kill low health player. He will also scratch player if come too close and his flame will burn them if they got even closer.
After 30 seconds passed, he start using CrimsonHell Death which will destroy all chest that appeared. He will also use Spirit Ring which is spirit-like flame that swirling surround center and will continuously shrink until it reach about 100 range wide which it will faded. Touching these in between will immobilize player and cause him to use CrimsonHell Death in instant.
After 45 seconds passed, Penguin Girl with Acerbus Shield will be summoned. Dispose of her seems to be hard as she has high health. But It recommended to dispose of her ASAP because she will prevent player from clear shot CrimsonHell.
After 90 seconds passed, another Penguin Girl will appear, she come with Rainbow shield which make high damage DoT effect ineffective. Bring on some good base damage weapon and dispose of her real fast is recommended.
After 135 second passed, another Penguin Girl with Acerbus shield will appear and CrimsonHell will continuously use his Sneeze and Energy Erupt, making progress much harder. Her shield protect her from all damage unless she is under debuff. Put debuff on her and she will goes down fast.
Once you reach 180 seconds, game over and you win.
Only gimmick is Penguin Girls which must have both debuff and high base damage to defeat. Also his damage is considerably high, prepare for some hard hit is recommended.
Stage 2
This stage consist two boss fighting alongside, walking Sakura and stationary CrimsonHell.
Crimson hell will use his normal attack pattern. Only different is he won't use Spirit Ring on his own as Sakura will perform it instead.
Sakura, on the other hand, is quite deadly. She will scratching player once get close. Her next attack can be predicted as she will perform her action before using them.
If she rest hand hand on her sheathed sword, she is going to use Sakura PinkDash. Dodge it by move sideway right after she rest her hand. It's not 100% guarantee dodging as if you too slow, you will get hit for sure.
If she take out her sword, she's going to use Sakura DevilFang. This attack, she will slash down her sword, release 5 cutting wave in 5 directional. This attack is considered a hardest attack to dodge since it need both experience and great timing to dodge it.
If she start to float, she's using Spirit Flame. It's recommended to stay in the circle no matter what. Once player get caught in between, they will continuously get hit from Sakura PinkDash for 3 times in row. High damage from Sakura PinkDash can leave player on verge or dying or even death.
Other than all of this attack, her attacks seem to possess high knockback.
Only gimmick here is her CrimsonHell will use almost every attacks he use in first stage combined with Sakura's attack give player a hard time.
Stage 3
This stage is consist only CrimsonHell that now grow oversize and already devoured Sakura in order to protect her.
He will use exactly same attacks pattern as he use in Stage 1. The different is listing.
First, no Penguin Girl here. Focus fire on CrimsonHell is available.
Second, he will randomly use advanced form of Energy Erupt which will spurting out in exact and predictable pattern such as swirling circle and triangle chessboard. He will naturally use this attack 3 time in one game, 5 time most in some rare case.
Third, his melee range reduced and hitbox increased. Meaning that hit him with melee is easier than stage 1.
Only gimmick here is second change. This attack can be fatal so be sure to avoid it.

Trivia
- Yae Sakura is one of two bosses so far that consist more than 1 boss, others are Shirosakura and Kurodake, twin bosses in last stage of Tale of Chikage event.
- This is only boss which have two boss fight alongside, that is if except Kevin.
- In fact, Yae Sakura World boss is only boss which consist both human and animal, that is if except Kaguya.
- Kayuga is bioengineer robot so technically not human. Also her firefly is technically a tiny flying robot, not an animal.
